I believe we’ll all play a role in the climate change crisis, whether we know it or not. As individuals, we need to understand what that role is and act upon it. For me personally, what I can bring to the table is the ability to take complex ideas and explain them in a simple and clear way.
And to the surprise of no one, climate change is one the most complex challenges we have ever encountered. The amount of moving pieces when calculating climate effects, the number of dimension to look at the problems, and the many avenues being developed to tackled them; are all of high cognitive load (a.k.a. probable to give you headaches).
To lower the barrier of entry to these topics, Climate Change TL;DR will briefly explain the most central topics of climate change, its solutions and ways you can get actively involved. We’ve carry the heavy load, so you don’t have to!
After reading each of these posts, you should come away with a good understanding of the topic, enough to make you capable of explaining it to your family, your friends and your next Uber driver when you run out of conversation topics1. They will all have a 5-7 minutes reading time and be straight to the point - perfect if you’re too busy to do a deep dive into the ins and outs of climate change, but still want to learn more about the topic.
